Big City Tavern closes after 25 years on Las Olas
The restaurant ended service September 30 at 609 East Las Olas Boulevard.
Big City Tavern has closed its Fort Lauderdale restaurant after a quarter-century. Its farewell announcement gave September 30 as the final day, and subsequent local reporting confirmed the closure. The restaurant did not disclose a reason or identify a replacement. The departure removes a longtime lunch, dinner and brunch destination from one of the city's main dining streets.
