Florida considers a 7.4% workers' comp rate cut
The proposed statewide average reduction would apply to new and renewing policies from January 1, 2027, if approved.
NCCI has asked Florida regulators to approve an average 7.4% reduction in voluntary-market workers' compensation rates. The state scheduled its public hearing for October 27 and is accepting comments until November 10. The filing is a proposal, not an approved discount. It concerns statewide average rate levels, so it should not be read as a promise that every restaurant or hotel's premium will fall by that amount.
