Japanese Steakhouse Opening in Miami, General Manager

The opportunity

Lead a high-volume, upscale Japanese steakhouse planned to open in spring 2027. Full-time, on-site. Assignments may include other Florida venues, on a temporary or permanent basis; relocation flexibility is required. Reporting line: operations leadership. Responsibilities • Lead daily operations, labor scheduling, purchasing, preventive maintenance, sanitation, and safety. • Own budget performance, P&L, inventory, cash controls, and corrective action. • Maintain luxury food, beverage, and service standards; resolve complaints and build guest loyalty. • Recruit, train, evaluate, and develop managers and front-of-house teams. • Coordinate opening recruitment, training, and marketing programs.

Experience & requirements

• At least 10 years as a director or general manager in fine dining, luxury, high-volume restaurants, cocktail bars, or lounges. • Extensive luxury-service experience; strong communication, organization, and leadership. • Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience. • State-compliant food-handler certification. • Opening experience preferred. • Availability for days, nights, weekends, holidays, travel, and relocation. • Extended standing and walking, reaching and bending, and frequent lifting up to 50 pounds; indoor/outdoor work, warm conditions, and loud music.
