OpenReported Oct 20, 2026

Housing Trust Group and Alonzo Mourning's AM Affordable Housing celebrated the opening of Courtside Apartments II on October 19. The $58 million development adds 120 income-restricted apartments in two buildings at 1698 NW Third Avenue and 1501 NW Fourth Avenue. The project joins the original Courtside community near the Culmer Center. Apartments serve qualifying households across several income levels, and the property includes resident services such as employment assistance.

Our read

Hospitality growth depends on people being able to live within a workable commute of their jobs. Employers can include verified housing resources in staff information without promising access or eligibility. Neighborhood operators should also pay attention to everyday resident needs and pricing, rather than treating every new building as a luxury-dining signal.
