Glades Restaurant prepares a Belle Glade opening
A former event hall is being converted into a 140-seat soul food restaurant, with November as the current target.
Owner Luis Falantre is preparing Glades Restaurant at 1533 NW Avenue L, Suite 3, in the former Banyan Tree Event Hall. He told Business Debut the dining room will seat about 140 and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Renovations have taken about 10 months, with inspections still pending at the time of the interview. The announced opening window is November, without a confirmed day.
Converting an event hall into an everyday restaurant changes how the room, kitchen and staffing must work. Check the approved use, equipment capacity and service flow before setting the public opening date. A large dining room should still make financial sense during quieter weekday meals.
