Pompano Beach selects Suffolk for its new civic center

The City Hall and parking garage are intended to anchor a broader $2 billion downtown redevelopment with shops, housing, offices and a hotel.

Builder selectedReported Jul 30, 2026

Pompano Beach and its redevelopment agency announced Suffolk's selection on July 30, alongside master developer RocaPoint Partners. The city describes the wider New Downtown plan as four million square feet of mixed-use development. The builder appointment covers the civic buildings and parking garage. It should not be read as confirmation that the full retail and hotel program has started construction.

Our read

This is a district to follow for future restaurant space, with timing dependent on the broader development's next phases.
