Port Everglades reports more than 5.38 million cruise guests

The port set its third consecutive annual record and added parking as the new cruise season got underway.

ReportedReported Oct 22, 2026

Port Everglades says it handled more than 5.38 million cruise guests during fiscal 2026, its third consecutive record year. Its October 22 update also reported more than 850 added parking spaces beside Terminal 18 and a refreshed terminal interior. The port expects nine cruise lines and 40 ships in the new season. The passenger total describes port activity, not the number of visitors who stayed overnight or ate locally.

Our read

Cruise volume is a useful demand indicator, but it needs translating into the business you can actually serve. Hotels should compare arrival-day bookings with the sailing calendar and check transfer and luggage capacity. Restaurants can test early meals and group reservations before extending hours across the whole week.
